Objective measured values. Transparent comparability. A new standard.
The 15° Power database contains objectively measured values of real available rods and blanks.
The basis is a reproducible measuring method at 15° load.
The data serves as a neutral basis for comparison for rod builders, dealers and anglers – independent of manufacturer specifications.
Why this database is necessary
Rod performance data is often inconsistent or not comparable.
The 15° power measurement creates a neutral, comprehensible basis.
It enables:
- Objective comparability
- Better pre-selection when buying rods
- Realistic assessment of line classes and character
- Transparency for manufacturers, retailers and users
This database is growing continuously and is constantly being expanded.
Involvement of manufacturers and retailers
Of course, manufacturers and dealers can also submit rods and blanks for measurement.
The aim is to provide an open, neutral and cross-industry basis for comparison.
The measurement is standardized and reproducible.
The 15° power measurement is already used in practice for repairs and in individual rod construction and has established itself as a reliable reference value.
